Tanker catches fire, driver hurt injured

A fuel tanker overturned and caught fire on a busy road in Riyadh, according to Major Mohamed Al-Hammadi, the media spokesman of the Civil Defense unit in Riyadh.
The driver, a Saudi national, was seriously injured in the incident.
Al-Hammadi said the operation room of the Civil Defense received a report at 9:45 about the incident near Exit 8 along the Eastern Ring Road, Riyadh.
Al-Hammadi confirmed that six fire trucks along with the Red Crescent and traffic police were dispatched to the scene of the incident where they successfully brought the fire under control.
The driver was immediately taken to hospital, he said.
