JEDDAH: The Internet is awash with information to build all kinds of weapons including bombs, with little regulation by international organizations, according to a local publication.
There is information on how to use items found in a kitchen to make explosive devices; apart from terrorist groups offering lectures on their manufacture on social media websites, the report said.
This raises questions about what is being done to regulate and ban some of this information. Many well-known websites do not have regulations or prohibitions in place.
While much of this information cannot be found using the world’s most popular search engines, there are other ways to access such information that can be found on the “Dark Internet.”
This refers to parts of the Internet that provides a lot of illicit information such as selling stolen passports, visas, driver’s licenses, identity cards and human limbs. There are even services to kill people.
