JEDDAH: The Board of Directors at the Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SRMG), the publishers of Arab News, appointed Saleh Al-Dowais as acting chief executive officer on Sunday.
Al-Dowais has a long experience in corporate management. He has held top positions in the group in last 11 years.
The SRMG board accepted the resignations of four board members: Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al-Daelaij, Khaled bin Mohammed Al-Hogail, Badr bin Mohammed Al-Isa and Abdullah bin Ahmad Al-Mosa. They were replaced by four new board members, including Al-Arabiya TV’s former General Manager Abdulrahman Al-Rashed, Abdul Aziz bin Hamad Al-Fahad, Adel bin Marzouq Al-Nasser and Turki bin Omar Bugshan.
Al-Rashed served as the general manager of Al-Arabiya for 10 years. He was also the editor in chief of Asharq Al-Awsat until 2003.
Abdul Aziz bin Hamad Al-Fahad is a legal adviser. He has Ph.D. in law from Yale.
Adel bin Marzouq Al-Nasser has held leadership positions in different banks, including Saudi-British Bank (SABB).
Turki bin Omar Bugshan holds a Ph.D. in accounting and has been involved in higher education and consulting. He held a number of positions, including that of the dean of faculties in a number of Saudi universities.
