The Consulate General of Pakistan has established Passport Delivery Information Desk (PDID) to help resolve the the delays receiving passports from Islamabad.
The information desk will streamline passport delivery system and facilitate Pakistani community in the Western region. Members of the Pakistani community who have applied for Machine Readable Passports (Urgent/Ordinary) will now be informed through a mobile phone text message to collect their passports as soon as they are received from Pakistan, according to consulate officials.
Consul General Aftab Ahmad Khokher said he realizes that Pakistanis face hardships, especially on occasions when there is delay in dispatch of passports for technical reasons.
The service is effective immediately.
Community members can now call at 0562760830 between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday through Wednesday and record his/her name, mobile number and tracking number. The Consulate staff will then inform individuals about the delivery status of the passport.
Each member of Pakistani community is requested to check delivery status of their passports before visiting the consulate.
