Several officers of the Philippine Embassy and its attached service officers have left the Kingdom after successfully completing their respective tours of duty.
In mid-February, the Philippine Embassy held simple send-off ceremonies to bid them farewell.
Roussel R. Reyes, second secretary and consul, was the first to leave. He had served over six years as head of the Assistance to Nationals Section (ANS) and had been reassigned to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in Manila where he will assume post as Director for Passports.
The embassy also bid farewell to Gloria San Diego whose dedication to duty was recognized with a plaque of appreciation. She served in Riyadh for six years.
Eduardo Lamparas, who served in the embassy’s Assistance to Nationals Section, also completed his tour of duty and was recognized during the simple ceremony.
The embassy also bid farewell to Labor Attache Albert Q. Valenciano who served in Riyadh for more than two years. He returned to Manila to serve at the main office of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).
Welfare Officer Anuar Ampang also ended his tour of duty.
Meanwhile, the embassy welcomed Adam A. Musa as the Labor Attache responsible for Riyadh Region, concurrent with the Eastern Region and other areas under the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh.
He has served with the Philippine Overseas Labor Offices in Jeddah, Central Region, Eastern Region, and now will serve as the officer-in-charge of the Riyadh POLO.
The Embassy also welcomed Joel Armena who arrived in December 2012 to replace Nilo Balagtas as Second Secretary.
