Riyadh governor opens employment exhibition

Riyadh Gov. Prince Sattam launched the third phase of the College of Technology project in the city and laid the foundation for a number of new projects while attending a convocation at the college on Monday evening.
The governor also opened an employment exhibition organized by the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) to get the college’s graduates employed in major Saudi companies and industries.
On arrival at the college, Prince Sattam was greeted by Dr. Ali Al-Ghafees, governor of TVTC, as well as its principal and senior officials.
In his welcoming speech, Al-Ghafees thanked Prince Sattam for attending the graduation, adding that it coincides with the 7th anniversary of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah’s accession to throne.
“The TVTC considers the private sector a responsible partner in training and employing Saudis,” Al-Ghafees said. “This cooperation in the past has yielded good results,” he pointed out.
He emphasized the corporation’s desire to achieve qualitative and quantitative development. “The TVTC has achieved a number of international prizes including Sheikh Salim Al-Sabah Informatics Award and Middle East Excellence Award,” he said. The Riyadh governor and other participants watched a visual presentation on the college’s third phase. Prince Sattam distributed certificates to outstanding graduates and honored sponsors of the event.
Prince Bandar bin Saud bin Muhammad, president of the National Commission for Wildlife Conservation and Development, attended the program.
