N. Mohamed Kutty, former president of Samskrithy and a Muslim League leader, is leaving the Kingdom shortly after 28 years of service, contributing to the country’s development and playing a leadership role in many community service activities.
“I am leaving the Kingdom with full satisfaction that I have been able to do many things for the community,” Kutty told Arab News. He said he would always remember the good times he had in Jeddah, working with different people and community leaders.
Kutty said when he arrived in Jeddah in 1984 he had no intention to continue in the Kingdom for several years, but a good job, the presence of the Two Holy Mosques and nice friends tempted him to stay on all these years.
He served as general secretary of the Kerala Muslim Cultural Center (KMCC) in Jeddah for seven years.
He established stronger relations with organizations such as the Muslim World League and the World Assembly of Muslim Youth.
The KMCC Family Support Fund, which has been adopted by all KMCC chapters across the Gulf, was Kutty’s brainchild. The fund was instrumental in extending help to a large number of poor families in Kerala.
