Pakistan Ambassador Muhammad Naeem Khan visited Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) in Riyadh this week, taking a tour of the academic and research facilities, as well as the residential facilities for the faculty and the students.
The ambassador then held a meeting with Professor Suliman Aba Al-Khail, rector of the university. The ambassador praised the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah, for continued support to the university, which has all modern learning and residential facilities. Khan noted the close coordination and interaction between Imam Muhammad bin Saud University and the International Islamic University Islamabad. The rector of Imam Muhammad bin Saud University is also Pro-Chancellor of the International Islamic University Islamabad.
During the meeting, the two dignitaries discussed ways and means to further strengthen the existing relationship between the Saudi Universities and Pakistani Universities as well as the need to provide opportunities to the Pakistani community in the Kingdom to study in the universities as well as learning Arabic language.
Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail said he appreciated the role of the ambassador in bringing closer the peoples of the two countries and assured his support in working together in promoting Arabic language among Pakistanis under the guidelines of the leadership of both countries.
