BEIRUT: Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Awad Asiri said that the decision issued by the Kingdom's Ministry of Foreign Affairs warning Saudi citizens against traveling to Lebanon during this period is still valid especially as the regional situation still calls for measures of vigilance.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, Asiri said, 'The decision of the warning stems from the keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud ... on the security and safety of Saudi citizens. As long as the circumstances that led to the issuance still exist, it is better to continue adherence to the content of the decision and postpone visits to Lebanon during this phase until conditions are permissible.'
