Saudi Arabia will take part in the 29th international book fair, scheduled to open in the Tunisian capital on Friday that will run for ten days, according to Dr. Iaman bin Abdulrahaman Maghrabi, the cultural attaché at Saudi Embassy in Tunis.
Saudis will showcase the latest products through one unified pavilion representing a number of governmental departments and private publishing houses who will also present a true image of cultural, media and scientific development in the Kingdom, according to the Saudi Press agency.
He said the Kingdom’s participation in the event and other cultural occasions symbolizes its care to keep continuous cultural and intellectual communication with the Arab world and other nations and peoples of the world.
Saudis will display a series of items in the fair including books, scientific periodicals, school curriculums, audio-visual items, children’s books in addition to the distribution of copies of the Holy Qur’an, produced by the Madinah-based King Fahad Complex for Printing the Holy Qur’an.
The participating agencies in the book fair will include: the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance, King Fahd Complex for Printing the Holy Qur’an, the Ministry of Culture and Information, King Abdul Aziz Archives and Research Center (Darah), King Saud University, Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, Um-Alqura University, the Islamic University of Madinah, King Abdul Aziz Public Library, and King Fahd National Library.
