A boy scout has won the praise of Muslims around the world for carrying an Algerian pilgrim to a Makkah pilgrim guidance center for over 2 km.
Ahmed Katib Salem Al-Sarhani, the boy scout at Camp Mina Scout Association of Saudi Arabia, said: “I was walking with my colleagues and came across a woman sitting on the sidewalk. My division commander Saleh Al Shammari suggested we carry her. I volunteered and carried her to the nearest guidance center. There we were able to borrow a wheelchair and then I pushed her another 3 km to her campsite.”
They met pilgrims along the way who praised him for his actions and their photos and video were later shared on social media earning him the praise of many from around the world.
When asked about his act of kindness, Al-Sarhani says he did what any scout would do in that situation.
