The Saudi Commission for Tourism an Antiquities has set up a call center with 24-hour service for visitors and domestic tourists to get information on events, hotels, special offers and guided tours.
“We are providing information for local tourists as well as tourists from abroad about different activities, events, programs, places to see, good restaurants and hotels, rates, and special promos during the summer vacation,” said Muneera Fahad, one of the attendants at the call center. “Basically, we are providing all the general information any visitor or tourist needs,” she added.
She further said that anyone from around the Kingdom and abroad could call them on the provided toll-free number 800 755 0000 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to late night. The services are available in both Arabic and English.
The call center also provides the services of a tour guide if anyone requires it. Ramiz bin Mansour Al-Ghalib, head of the technical and financial committee for Jeddah Ghair Festival 33, said the toll-free call center was launched by the executive committee of the festival for 24-hour services to answer all the queries and questions of the public about events and programs and festivals around the Kingdom.
He also said that another 10 information centers had been formed to help the public at King Abdulaziz International Airport and at major shopping malls in Jeddah. The public can find the information on Facebook and Twitter by searching for “Jeddah Ghair 33.”
According to Al-Ghalib, there are 70 theme parks and 360 shopping malls and centers providing more than 150 different entertainment, cultural and sport programs during the festival, which started on June 6 and will continue until 17 July. These activities will help boost domestic tourism, he said.
