My Care Hala to clash with Dopco Stars in final

My Care Hala fought well to down Asian Plastic Factory (APF) by 6 runs as Dopco Stars defeated AOT Al Farooq by 126 runs in the Hyundai sponsored Premier tournament played on the ODI format here at WPCA.
The star of Dopco was the inform Nadeem who scored a quick-fire 121 off 52 balls. He was well supported by Maqsood who got a wee-made 73 runs. Both were involved in a 153-run partnership for the second wicket, which came off 66 balls.
Asim later propped up the innings and smashed 72 runs off 34 deliveries. Khurram remained unbeaten with 29. Shoaib Ali and Asad contributed 20 runs each. Dopco totaled 383 for 6. Zeeshan took 2 for 66.
AOT Al Farooq lost both the prolific openers early whereas Qaiser Lateef sent as a pinch-hitter top scored with 61 off 30 balls. He added 93 runs with Ilyas (29) for the third wicket. Other contributors were Abbas 48 and Qaim Khan 27 to put on board 257. Shoaib Ali was the pick of the bowlers as he grabbed 3 for 35. The match was supervised by Saleem and Zafar Miyan.
In the other semifinal, My Care Hala batted first against Asian Plastic Factory to pile up 262 in their allotted 35 overs. Zahid was the highest scorer with 50 runs. Babar Hussain stroked 42, Hussain Bhatti 41, skipper Kashif 34 and Azeem remained unbeaten on 33. Adalat took 3 for 34 and Waqas Ausaf had 3 for 57.
My Care Hala who chased 263, required around 7.5 runs per over found Khurram Karamat in devastating form as he compiled a fine 108 runs off 47 balls and added 90 runs with skipper Nadeem Amin (21). APF required 114 runs in 133 balls with 8 wkts in hand and it seemed a cake-walk for them. But MCH bowlers had other ideas as APF batsmen crumbled under pressure to crash for 255 with 12 balls remaining. Farooq held the end with 38 and Maqsood made 30. Faheem emerged the architect of the team’s victory as he took 5 for 29 while Hussain Bhatti supported him with 3-40.
