The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) dived in the south earlier yesterday, trading in the downward territory for most of the session and finally crossing the breakeven line to close higher at 6,859.59 points level, achieving 24.82 points or 0.36 percent for the entire day. The index traded within a range of 71 points.
All sectors performed in a mixed fashion, with nine sectors accumulating an aggregate of 407 points and six sectors trimming 156 points collectively.
The Telecom and Insurance sectors were major winners among sectoral indices, which marginally increased by 3.08 percent and 2.85 percent respectively.
Market breadth was positive, whereby 98 symbols closed in green and 43 closed in red, while 13 remained unchanged.
Share trading activity remained low yesterday as compared to previous day; turnover went down further by 15.7 percent in terms of volume and 4 percent in terms of value.
