Thrill Seekers dominate in Etihad event

Team Thrill Seekers grabbed the limelight in the resumption of the Unified Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Riyadh (UFTBR)-Etihad Airways Tuesday Bowling League at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC).
Taking advantage of the lackluster performance of the rest of the contenders, Thrill Seekers playing with Class C and D bowlers walloped Saco Bolts 19-4 and took their first Team of the Week award.
Leading the team’s balanced game was Vicky Vitug with a 4-game series of 845 with contributions from Omar Valdez (786), Irene Tumolva (779), Dong Yamco (778) and Romy Repia (755).
In other matches, the top team in the standings, NBA, was upset by handicappers Dabarkads 16-14, second placer Kamahalan barely won over Ayaw Na 14-12, third placer Unica drew with Pinpals 16-all), Habagat rolled over Mandirigma 16-10, Vinnell Arabia delivered another upset with a win over SABB 18-13 and Lane Cruiser defeated Pin Hitters 17-9.
Ahmed Qarquosh of SABB grabbed the Bowler of the Week honors in Group 1 with a series of 911 with Joe Osborne of Vinnell for group 2 with 941. Ronald Bautista still leads in the MVP race Group 1 with an average of 215.02 followed by AndroTismo (213.15) and Mike Miranda (212.71). In the Group 2 MVP race, Fathi Abdulaziz (186.30) still leads followed by Ryan Inigo (184.57) and Shawn Rickett (183.15).
