Some 30 scholarship students have recently completed the first phase of training to become approved as trainers for scholarship students in the United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported yesterday.
The programs were organized by the Quality Side Company in cooperation with King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue (KACND) and the cultural attaché at the Saudi Embassy in London.
The trainers, who were selected on the basis of their skills to carry out training programs, will train and orient scholarship students sent to Britain and Ireland, KACND Deputy Secretary-General Fahad Al-Sultan was quoted by SPA as saying.
The program comes as pat of KACND efforts aimed at spreading the culture of dialogue through group training programs carried out inside and outside the Kingdom, he said.
The second phase of the program will be launched soon and is designed to ensure that trainers can apply the program in 30 British cities where some 1,000 scholarship students are expected to benefit from this.
He stressed the importance of teaching scholarship students on how best to represent the Kingdom and interact with people of different cultures and ideas which necessitates dialogue based on tolerance of Islam and its human values which call for acquaintance, cooperation and peace.
