Members of Architectural Heritage Commission, headed by its president Prince Turki Al-Faisal, visited Jeddah Municipality Headquarters at Biet Al-Balad.
They came to be familiarized with the facility and its goals, and to discuss ways to serve the Governorate of Jeddah.
This visit was aimed at increasing cooperation between the municipality and the commission for supporting architectural heritage.
“Our mission is to preserve the history of the city, and maintain its architectural heritage, as well as attracting large numbers of tourists,” said Ahmad Al-Hajri, the Commission’s CEO.
A group of toursits and guests from Turkey who were accompanying the delegation were welcomed by the secretary general of the municipality. The tourists explored parts of Jeddah’s old city and expressed an interest in Hijazi heritage and history.
