This is in reference to the story, “Anatoly Ivanishin: Seen from space, only the two holy cities stand out.” Makkah and Madinah standing brighter than the other cities is a fact because they are true holy cities.
It was in these two cities that the Holy Qur’an was revealed which revolutionized the entire world, transformed ages-old barbaric practices and established a way of life, which is to remain till the end of this world. The Holy Qur’an is called light and this light was received by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who spread it to the other parts of globe.
