UK delegation visits Jeddah

British training and education organizations visited Jeddah to assess opportunities for developing new educational partnerships.
Led by the UK trade and investment section at the British Consulate in Jeddah and the Training Gateway, they spent 2 days meeting with key public and private sector organizations. The organizations which were represented at the meetings offered a wide range of expertise, including coaching and mentoring training, leadership and management training, project management, health related training, online learning, video driven education products and teacher training.
Saudi Arabia has a long history of partnerships with the UK, evidenced by the large number of students coming to the UK each year to study. However, more recently UK training organizations including universities, colleges and private training providers have started to work more closely with organizations in the region by entering into a wide range of different training and education partnerships. UK training providers now offer a plethora of different types of specialized training across a range of platforms – face-to-face, online and an integrated approach.
The British delegation expressed their desire to collaborate with organizations that are specifically looking for new training programs for their staff, as well as local training institutes that wish to license or franchise new training programs and products. Another field of interest that was sought during the meetings included partnerships with local universities to develop joint degrees and other educational partnerships.
