Visa, a leading payment solution provider, presented the Best Bank Awards at the 13th annual Banker Middle East Industry Awards in Dubai.
Visa helps to accelerate the global shift toward electronic payments in order to meet the needs of governments, consumers and businesses throughout the region.
This commitment was made clear by Kamran Siddiqi, general manager of Visa, Middle East and North Africa, during his speech.
Siddiqi focused on the increased importance of innovation and more specifically mobile technology on banking in the future, saying: “This is an era of great opportunity, with exciting developments coming through on the horizon. Innovation and advances in technology have opened up financial services to more than 1 billion consumers worldwide, who own mobile devices but do not have a formal banking relationship.
