The assistant secretary at the Jeddah municipality, Abdul Majeed Al-Batati, has been briefed on the final preparations and installation of equipment at a project center to train employees of food facilities, kitchens, restaurants, laundries, barbershops and women’s workshops located in Jeddah's Al-Rawdah district. The center will train workers on hygiene and sterilization techniques.
Al-Batati toured the center in the presence of the director general of commercial licensing and monitoring at the Jeddah municipality, Bashir Abu Najm, and the project general manager, Rami Al-Qriqra.
The building is located on an area of 2,700 sq. meters to accommodate 18,000 trainees per year. It consists of 32 training rooms for theoretical and practical training through integrated models of a kitchen, restaurant, hairdresser, laundry and integrated women’s workshop to provide training courses from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The center offers many types of training courses. For restaurant staff, it offers a three-day training course on food safety at SR500, and for barbers as well as for employees in women’s workshops and bridal shops a two-day training at SR350. The training courses will be available in Arabic, English, Hindi, Indonesian, Tagalog, Turkish and Urdu.
