Badir Program for Technology Incubators, a subsidiary of King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology, has honored Zain KSA for taking part and supporting the activates of the scientific marathon (Startup Weekend).
Nawaf Al-Sahaf, manager of BADIR, presented a memorial trophy to Saleh Hasanain, social communication manager in Zain KSA, in recognition of the company’s efforts to support and motivate marathon participants.
The company stressed that its support for the scientific marathon (Startup Weekend) comes as part of its ongoing pursuit to reach its social responsibilities and to contribute to establishing an appropriate environment for youths in the Kingdom to practice their hobbies and stimulate values of fair competition and innovation among them.
The company provided free high-speed Internet services for free around the marathon area.
It also provides prizes to the owners of the three winning projects, along with distributing many gifts to all contest participants and attendance, in addition, members of the company’s social program team (Shabab Tamoh) played a major role in organizing the event.
The company also kept followers of its official Twitter accounts @ZainKSA updated throughout the marathon. It announced the winning projects via the event hashtag (#SWRiyadh).
Since launching its commercial activities in the Saudi market, Zain KSA has remained committed to promoting various social events that support the youth in order to help them spend their time in competitive programs. These steps contribute to honing the youth’s innovation skills.
