Zain Group has signed a partnership agreement with OSN, the region’s leading pay-TV network, in order to allow Zain customers gaining access to premium and exclusive Arabic and English entertainment anytime, anywhere on a number of devices through OSN Play, the region’s first online TV viewing platform.
Zain customers in Kuwait and Bahrain (as a first phase) can purchase OSN subscriptions and services directly from Zain retail stores along with the mobile operator’s regular selection of communication services.
OSN Play will be offered as part of a special package with Zain’s high-speed broadband services.
Zain Group plans to roll out similar initiatives in new markets allowing its large base of customers to enjoy more services as well as the convenience of subscribing to telecommunication and TV entertainment services from a single retail point.
Hisham Akbar, Zain Group deputy CEO and COO, said the group has stepped up its efforts lately to enrich its networks in the Middle East and North Africa via regional and global partnerships, adding that this partnership will help meeting customers’ passion for these new kind of experiences. David Butorac, CEO of OSN, said the strategic partnership with a leading telecom brand, Zain, will provide the most extensive range of exclusive and premium TV entertainment bundled with the latest communication services.
Butorac said OSN recently launched five new channels and have expanded its HD line-up which is currently the largest in the region.
Zain subscribers in the Middle East will be able to enjoy a wide range of offers and services through this partnership, by gaining access to more than 100 exclusive channels, providing OSN exclusive movies, sports programs and global and Arabic entertainment.
