ISLAMABAD, 20 April — Chinese Chief of General Staff Gen. Fu Quanyou will meet with Chief Executive Gen. Pervez Musharraf here today and discuss issues of bilateral interest. Gen. Quanyou’s visit coincides with the visit of Foreign Minister Abdul Sattar to China who met Premier Zhu Rongji yesterday. The Chinese prime minister will be visiting Pakistan from May 11 to boost the already strong relations existing between the two countries. Gen. Musharraf has announced that the foundation of a gigantic project would be laid during the forthcoming visit of the Chinese premier to mark 50 years of establishment of their diplomatic ties. The new project would be another landmark in the growing Pak-Sino relations. Quanyou will also visit Lahore and Karachi. He will attend a dinner to be hosted by Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Muhammad Yousaf today.
