JEDDAH, 2 April — The health affairs department in Jeddah recently sacked an expatriate doctor whose negligence on duty resulted in the death of a baby at birth.
The doctor from an Arab country was deported and the hospital authorities were fined SR50,000.
Five other hospitals in the city were fined SR20,000 for causing various complications in eight other babies during delivery. One of the babies was paralyzed because of medical error.
