AHSA, 23 April  — The health affairs department has fined several violators of medical regulations in the private and government hospitals in the Ahsa region. A neurosurgeon was fined SR35,000, anesthetician SR106,000, pediatric surgeon SR106,000 and a gynecologist SR13,333 for separate cases of malpractice. A nurse in a private hospital was fined SR1,000 for not properly sterilizing surgical equipment and a private clinic SR4,000 for delaying renewal of its license. A doctor not wearing uniform was fined SR500.
