RIYADH, 25 April — The Saudi committee for supporting the Palestinian intifada, chaired by Interior Minister Prince Naif, announced yesterday that it had given the Palestinians SR16.73 million, bringing the total donations since the start of the uprising to more than SR170 million. The committee is delivering this help directly to its beneficiaries — orphanages, the wounded, prisoners, handicapped people and families whose houses have been destroyed by the Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
