JEDDAH, 3 May — The Overseas Filipino Workers Cooperative Council (OFWCC) will have for Friday 4 May 2001 their final session on Internet browsing. The course participants will be introduced into the concept of Local Access Network /Wide Access Network (LAN/WAN), the concept of Internet, Internet Explorer basics and Explorer quick start, surfing tips and tricks, organizing favorites, copying, saving and printing, customizing Internet Explorer, tracking down information and exploring the web. The course lecturer will be an IT professional, Mr. Jimmy Leonida.
Slated OFWCC activities are as follows:
3rd May 2001: Trainor’s Trainee for Cooperative Training Education (PMES).
4th May 2001: Internet browsing using Internet Explorer.
11th May 2001: Graduation rites for the 6th Computer Literacy Participants.
18th May 2001:- Graphics Design (Fundamentals of Graphics) using Photoshop ver. 6.
25th May 2001 - Illustrator ver. 8 — Industry Standard Drawing Program.
1st June 2001: 7th K-2000 Livelihood Training (Phil. Gov’t Re-integration Program)
13th July 2001 - Advanced Excel with Eng’r Ernie Geslani as lecturer.
Participants who wish to bring along with them their computers are advised to upgrade their unit’s RAM to at least 128MB, as the graphics and illustration programs they will be using will utilize enormous amounts of memory to process images. The course lecturer is a professional Graphics Designer Mr. Danny Factoran.
