JEDDAH, 4 May — A woman, upset by her husband’s mistreatment, abandoned her three-day-old baby in a Jeddah street, Al-Madinah daily said yesterday. Following intermittent quarrels with his wife, the man went back to his native country and returned with a new wife. When his first wife gave birth, the man claimed that the baby was not his. The mother was so angry that she abandoned the child which is now being looked after by some others.
