RIYADH, 8 May — Director General of the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO) Khaled Al-Khalaf has warned against the import of modified cars in which right-hand drive cars are modified to left-hand drive. Such modified cars do not conform with the Saudi standard specifications and they constituted a serious risk to the safety of the citizens and residents, he said. He pointed out that modification of cars should never take place except at the factories of the cars’ manufacturing companies.
