JEDDAH, 19 May — Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia won the President Hosni Mubarak Cup when they defeated Ismaili of Egypt 2-1 via a golden goal at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium here last night.
Khaled Al-Teemawi headed home the golden goal after the two teams had failed to end the 1-1 deadlock.
Abdullah Al-Jamaan had put Hilal ahead when put through by Sami Al-Jaber in the 41st minute.
Muhammad Abu Qarya got the equalizer for Ismaili who put up a good show in this tough match and must be considering themselves unlucky to end up as losers.
