JEDDAH, 19 May  — A new consultative panel has been set up in the Makkah region to promote economic and social development, Al-Hayat newspaper reported yesterday. The 16-member committee comprising 11 businessmen and five businesswomen was formed by Makkah Governor Prince Abdul Majeed. The panel includes Wahib Binzagr, Khaled Al-Juffali, Mazen Batterji, Hussein Shobokshi and Muhammad Al-Fadhl. The new panel follows the formation of a committee under the chairmanship of Interior Minister Prince Naif to study the cost of living index.
