JEDDAH, 2 June — The Gulf foreign ministers meeting, scheduled here for today, is likely to pass firm resolutions calling for an end to Israeli aggression on the Palestinians.
The meeting will also focus on the Iraqi-Kuwaiti situation and the islands row between the United Arab Emirates and Iran.
A high-level source said Abu Dhabi would present new ideas to the tripartite GCC panel to find an early solution to the dispute.
The meeting will not be attended by Prince Saud Al-Faisal of Saudi Arabia, who is on vacation, and Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad of Kuwait.
The source said the Kingdom would be represented by Assistant Foreign Minister Dr. Nizar Madani.
