JEDDAH, 3 June — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd will address the Shoura (Consultative) Council tomorrow, spelling out the Kingdom’s domestic and foreign policies. This was announced yesterday by Muhammad ibn Jubair, the Shoura’s president.

The members of the 120-member body will take oath in front of the king before the opening of its third session. King Fahd reshuffled the Shoura on May 24, increasing its strength from 90 to 120 and injecting new blood to the advisory body.

Jubair, who was reappointed president of the Council for the third time, commended King Fahd’s continuous support to the organization, adding that the royal support helped the Council carry out its mission in the best manner. He also noted the king’s role in developing the Kingdom’s Shoura system and selecting the Shoura members.

Meanwhile, King Fahd ordered yesterday that the International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) be supplied with 810 tons of dates for distribution among the poor and needy Muslims in various countries.
