JEDDAH, 4 January — Islamic Development Bank President Dr. Ahmad Muhammad Ali received yesterday Muhammd Shariati, Iran's ambassador and permanent representative to the Organization of the Islamic Conference, at the bank's headquarters in Jeddah. During their meeting, Dr. Ali expressed keenness to strengthen fruitful cooperation between Iran and the bank in all areas. Iran has received a total of $560 million in aid from the bank for various development projects in health care, education, industry, agriculture and power generation. IDB also financed 32 foreign trade operations as part of the bank's efforts to promote trade among its member countries. (SPA)
