JEDDAH, 9 January — The Passport Department will issue Haj permits to both Saudis and expatriates from Jan. 10 until Feb. 24, according to Brig. Hasan Rishwan, head of the Haj and Umrah section at the department. He urged Saudis and expatriates to perform Haj through domestic Haj agencies licensed by the Haj Ministry. He also said security officers had held 2,200 overstayers in Makkah during the last three days.
