JEDDAH, 7 June — The Civil Defense authorities have warned 20 chalets for tourists in the city of insufficient safety arrangements. This was announced by Col. Muhammad Al-Ghamdi, director general of Civil Defense in Jeddah, after inspecting the 30 tourist facilities in the city. The inspection was carried out as Jeddah summer festival was drawing closer. A large number of visitors are expected in the city for the festival, he said. Earlier an amusement park in north Jeddah was closed down for lack of safety arrangements, he added.
