RIYADH, 13 January — On behalf of Interior Minister Prince Naif, who is also the chairman of the Council of Civil Defense, Prince Muhammad ibn Naif, assistant minister of interior for security affairs, will open today a three-day conference of the civil defense department at the King Faisal Charity Foundation hall here. The theme of the conference will be “Advanced technology — gearing up for and keeping pace with it”. A number of important papers will be discussed at the conference, said Maj. Gen. Saad ibn Abdullah Al-Tuwaijeri, director general of the civil defense. (SPA)
