RIYADH, 15 January — The Interior Ministry has urged Saudis to get Haj permits from the concerned authorities before proceeding to the holy sites. The permits are valid for one year and are renewable only after five years. However, it said those who wanted to accompany their female relatives for Haj can get a permit within the period. Other categories who can receive Haj permit without any time limit are those who lost the card, owners of domestic pilgrim agencies and their employees, those who could not use their cards within a year, and government officials and military officers taking part in the Haj operations.
