JEDDAH, 15 June — The breast cancer rate in the Kingdom is estimated at 14 out of every 100,000 according to a tumor specialist Dr. Muhammad Al-Shabanah of Riyadh’s King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center. About 3 million Saudi women, the number of women who are past 20, should undergo regular cancer detection tests because early detection will facilitate successful treatment, the doctor said, Ar-Riyadh newspaper reported yesterday.
