RIYADH, 22 January — The higher authorities have fixed the minimum retirement pension at SR1,500, said the governor of the General Organization for Social Insurance, Suleiman Al-Homaid. The order applies not only to new pensioners but it will also allow the revision of payments to those who are already retired. The minimum monthly payments to the dependents of a deceased pensioner is fixed at SR300. The changes in the pension regulations will involve an increase of SR13.5 million in the monthly expenses of the organization. (SPA)
