JEDDAH, 3 February — The authorities have doubled the allowance of Saudi patients being sent abroad for medical treatment from SR150 to SR300 daily. Relatives accompanying the patients will also receive a similar amount. Saudis receiving treatment inside the Kingdom, but away from their home, will get an allowance of SR150. The allowance is given to meet expenses outside hospital and the payment will stop once the patient enters hospital. Relatives staying with patients in hospitals are not entitled for payment.
