JEDDAH, 12 February — President of the Islamic Development Bank Dr. Ahmad Muhammad Ali said here yesterday that the bank had made arrangements for supplying 650,000 heads of animals that meet Shariah and hygienic specifications from non-African countries. He said 600 students of several Shariah colleges were appointed to confirm religious specifications for the sacrificial animals. The bank also appointed 1,100 veterinarians and 45,800 butchers, supervisors and laborers for carrying out the project. The slaughter houses were also ready and were in good operating condition, he said. (SPA)
