MAKKAH, 17 February — Health Minister Dr. Osama Shubokshi has announced that the health situation of pilgrims is excellent. Speaking to reporters after inspecting health facilities in Makkah, Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifa, he said that no contagious diseases have been reported among the pilgrims. He said the ministry had provided the hospitals and health centers in Makkah and the holy sites with adequate doctors, paramedical staff and medicines. (AN)
