JEDDAH, 18 February — The Institute of Banking (IOB) in Riyadh is holding its fifth annual investment symposium today under the title "Saudi Arabia-2001 and Beyond" with speakers from the Kingdom and abroad taking part. The main objective is to allow Saudi banks as major financial service providers the opportunity to meet with those interested in financial market affairs, said IOB Director General Dr. Abdul Latif M. Ghaith. "Like previous symposiums, this one will seek to stress the essential objective of protecting the interests of investors and inform them on the investment vehicles and services provided by Saudi banks," Gaith said. The one-day symposium will be opened by Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency Hamad Al-Sayari.  (A.N.)
