JEDDAH, 24 June — The first lucky draw of the Jeddah 22 summer festival took place at the Tent Market in south Jeddah yesterday. The draw was held in the presence of representatives from the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as the Ministry of Commerce in an open area at the market.
Fabulous prizes are awaiting shoppers at various malls in the city throughout the season. At least 37 cars along with several other prizes including cash prizes will be given away in the coming days. Draws will be held every Saturday at one or other commercial center for the next four weeks.
The next draw will be at Al-Yamamah Market on Sitteen Street next Saturday. The third draw will take place at the Hira nternational Market on July 7 while the fourth will be at Jeddah International Market on July 14. On July 21, the fifth draw will take place at Jamjoom Commercial Center. Winners will take away a brand new car and many other valuable prizes each week.
A grand draw will be held on Tuesday, July 31, at the Al-Najjar Market near the Bicycle Square on Sitteen Street with more than 32 cars and various other prizes on offer.All draws will start at 10:00 p.m. and the prizes will be handed out right away to the winners.
Entry coupons are distributed at over 25 markets and commercial centers in Jeddah. A JCCI committee overseeing the draw has instructed shopkeepers to distribute entry coupons to the public free of charge.
“The coupons are to be given to the customers free of charge; shops found violating this rule will be punished,” said a JCCI official.
