MAKKAH, 24 February — Interior Minister Prince Naif will open the second electricity plant in Mina tomorrow during an inspection tour of the holy sites, Al-Madinah newspaper reported yesterday. The project was established by the Saudi Electricity Company at a cost of SR80 million.
According to Dr. Bakr Kheshaim, director general of SEC in the Western Province, the company would implement new electricity projects worth more than SR7 billion in Makkah and other holy sites in the coming years. The most important of these projects is the first phase of the electricity generating plant in Shuaiba.
