JEDDAH, 24 February — The Commerce Ministry has made arrangements for distributing 10 million meals at the holy sites during the Haj, according to Omar Qarub, deputy minister for internal trade. He said there would be 2,000 shops in Mina and Arafat to supply food and essential goods.
Arrangements have also been made to supply two million loafs of bread and one million ice bars. Qarub said the special squads would inspect shops to ensure that the essential goods are sold at normal prices. The United Zamazimah Office in Makkah said it would distribute three million liters of Zamzam water among pilgrims. -- Abdul Aziz Ghazzawi
