RIYADH, 27 February — One hundred new Muslims from the United States and Europe will be able to perform Haj at the invitation of Prince Sultan, second deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation. Dr. Saleh Al-Ayed, acting secretary-general of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs. He said each year Prince Sultan invited a number of new converts from all over the world to perform Haj at his expense.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Haj has invited 50 Muslim scholars and 100 outstanding students from Islamic communities and organizations from all over the world to perform Haj at the ministry's expense. Deputy Minister of Haj Hatim Qadi said the first batch of the invitees already arrived and the rest will be arriving over the coming days. (AN)
