JEDDAH, 25 June — A two-day math workshop for senior secondary and secondary teachers ended at International Indian School-Jeddah (IISJ) on Saturday. Participants expressed their satisfaction on the modules presented at the workshop and resolved that whatever they had learned would be applied in the classroom environment. They felt that such workshops should be a regular feature of the school. Principal S.S.U. Tabrez expressed his optimism on the potentials, capabilities and commitment of the school staff. Refresher courses from time to time and regular self-evaluation were necessary for augmenting the teaching process, he added. Managing Committee Chairman Abdul Rahim speaking as the chief guest at the valedictory function said in-service training for teachers would be a continuous process for various subjects. He urged the teaching community to get fully involved and dedicated in the teaching process and work toward improving school results. Abdul Malik, coordinator of the academic committee inaugurated the workshop, Director Brig. Iqbal Siddiqui gave away the certificates and Senior Girls Section Headmistress Fathima Maqdum gave a vote of thanks.
